Positive side effects...

Good morning,
I think it's time to talk about the positive side effects of the treatment:
  • You will step back and look at everything in a different way.
  • I value "quiet" moments more than I did before. I've just been outside and enjoyed the early morning. Sitting outside with a nice tea with the sun winning it's fight against the cloud surrounding and the first birds singing from the tree opposite. It's been a very peaceful moment.
I've written about the side effects of the chemo... but some of them aren't just negative
  • Hairloss for example: it might have changed the way I look but it made me (after a few times) look at the face in my mirror in a different way. In addition I save a lot of time as I don't have to dry my hair ...

Scars on the body and soul

I'm back again! My operation has taken place on the 4th of October. And I might not be very happy but I’m fine. I’m coping well and managed to go home the following day. At the moment I’m spending most of my time either in bed or on the sofa but I think it’s the best way to recover. I allow my body to rest which I haven’t done very often before the surgery. Now I think it’s time to listen and respond to what my body needs.



Cancer can leave scars, not only on the body but in our soul as well. And the new scar on my body measures about 28 cm… might sound large but somehow it makes me feel save. Save as the cancer has been removed and "fingers crossed” won’t come back again. It'll be ...
